Probability of good snow in alps ski areas in late December?

I'm looking for a ski area for the last week of december, and I'm afrayed that with Murphy's laws I'll order the one with least snow, as it's an early week of the season. Any suggestions how can I be more sure? Any websites that specialize in that maybe? Thanks for any help!
